You'll see that this ring has a multitude of different color stones on it. Each of those stones is an opportunity to house a spirit of your choosing.
This ring does not give you the ability to summon spirits, but if you've been working in the metaphysical field for a while you will know that you don't always necessarily need to summon the spirits. Sometimes, the spirits come to you. This is especially true if you're a paranormal investigator or you do anything along those lines.  
 
Sometimes you experience souls and spirits that great energy and immense Powers with them. Sometimes you'll find souls and spirits that have magical abilities. Sometimes they won't have either of those things, but they'll just have interesting personalities. Either way, the point is that sometimes you will want to carry those souls with you. That's where this piece comes and to play, it's called a soul battery.  
This piece will allow you to conveniently store the spirits and souls you come across and you're wanderings. It will even work with other pieces that you have such a summoning items or other pieces that have spirits and souls attached to them. You can use it other pieces in conjunction with this piece in order to give your souls and spirits a new home. Let me be clear and saying that these do not have to be human souls. They can be vampire souls, werewolf souls, or any other type of soul you may encounter.
