This necklace looks like it would have a stone pendant, but the pendant is not Stone rather, it is glass. What kind of glass? Well, to answer that properly we have to give you a little bit of a brief backstory.  
Twice in the Book of Revelations John mentions a sea of glass. Not much is known about the sea of glass as he doesn't really elaborate on it. However we know that the sea of glass is a dynamic, moving, force.  Yet, the sea of glass is common collected. It is an oxymoron that describes how out of chaos God created order.  
So basically, the sea of glass is a pool of energy. More specifically it is a pool of God's Own energy. That's where the glass of this piece has come from. Now, the glass that John mentions is 100% completely clear and smooth. Once the glass was taken from heaven and brought into the mortal realm  it took the form that you see here.
