The Conjuration of the Scarlet Lilith, 2025

In the deep pine barrens of South Jersey, not far from the old grounds where forgotten wards once stood near Ancora, a small circle gathered under a storm-wracked October sky last year. The air tasted of ozone and crushed cedar. The operator — a longtime keeper of veiled currents who had spent decades threading ancient names through modern metal — had prepared for months. Not for a tame spirit or a romanticized goddess, but for the raw, untamed current that occultists call Lilith the Scarlet, the first rebel, the untamed feminine who refused subjugation before Eden had even finished naming its creatures.

They did not use the polished ceremonial scripts of later grimoires. Instead, they worked from fragments older than the Talmudic tales: echoes of Sumerian Lilitu, storm demons who rode the night wind, protectors of those cast out, and mothers of untold lineages both human and otherwise. A black mirror, owl feathers gathered at twilight, blood-red wine mixed with iron-rich earth from the barrens, and a piece of jewelry that had waited years for its true occupant: a small locket that could easily go unnoticed.

The conjuration did not begin with commands. It began with recognition.

The circle chanted not to summon her as a servant, but to open a gate through which she could choose to step if the call resonated. They spoke her older names. They offered not sacrifice, but truth: the pain of exile, the rage of having one’s story rewritten by victors, the fierce joy of claiming one’s own body and will. Thunder rolled overhead. The temperature dropped sharply. Several participants later described the distinct sensation of unseen wings brushing past them, carrying the scent of night-blooming flowers and hot iron.

Then she came.

Not as a Hollywood demoness with horns and seduction alone, but as a presence of overwhelming, unapologetic being. Some saw her as a towering shadow with burning eyes and owl talons. Others felt her as a crimson pulse in their own blood, an ancient laughter that knew every betrayal the world had ever offered a woman (or anyone) who refused to kneel. The operator described the moment the current locked into the pendant: the garnet flared as though lit from within, the metal grew almost too hot to touch, and a single, clear voice—not audible to all, but undeniable to those present—spoke three words in a language that felt older than Hebrew: “I choose this vessel.”

The jewelry did not become “haunted” in the fearful sense. It became anchored. Lilith the Scarlet does not possess; she allies. She does not flatter; she tests. Those who have worn the piece since report a pattern that is both exhilarating and uncompromising:

• A fierce clarity that cuts through self-deception and the lies of others. Illusions become intolerable.

• Heightened sensual and creative power. Many speak of blocked artistic or magical currents suddenly flooding forward, often accompanied by potent dreams of flight, ancient deserts, or standing unbowed before thrones.

• Protection of the outcast and the exiled. Wearers have described uncanny luck in escaping abusive situations, reclaiming personal power after loss, or finding unexpected allies when they stand in their truth.

• Shadow integration without annihilation. She teaches that the dark feminine (and the dark within every person) is not evil to be banished but a vital force to be embraced and directed.

One wearer, a woman navigating a painful separation, said the pendant grew warm during her hardest nights and she awoke with an unshakable knowing of her own worth. Another, deep in ancestral research (echoing some of the deep genealogy work done in these parts), found the locket led him to records and intuitive leaps that untangled a long-buried family curse of silenced voices.

Lilith does not come lightly. The piece has been known to grow cold or heavy when the wearer is avoiding necessary confrontation or trying to use the current for petty domination. She is a queen of rebels, not tyrants.

Last year’s conjuration in the South Jersey pines did not trap the real Lilith. It forged a living link — a mobile throne, a portable gate — through which her current can flow for those brave enough to work with her. The jewelry is not a trophy. It is a responsibility and a tremendous source of power for those walking the path of reclamation.

She is here now, in the metal and stone, waiting for the right hand or neck. The first rebel never truly left. She simply chose a new way to move through the world.
